Waskesiu Children's Festival

The Waskesiu Children’s Festival is fun for the whole family. The day features face painting, a Parks Canada booth, and games. This is a wonderful, family-friendly, Waskesiu tradition where participants have fun and connect with nature, Park history, and friends throughout a wonderful day of outdoor activities on our grounds at 1500 Montreal Drive.

The weekend is jam-packed with a variety of free family activities, including live on-stage musical entertainment, Indigenous talent showcase, street fair, car show, and a children's play area including a free bouncy castle & face painting. You can also enjoy a variety of great food vendors and the Lakeside Festival Original 16 beer gardens.

Canada Day

Celebrate Canada’s 158th birthday in Waskesiu with three days of festivities, including live music, hoop dancing, bike decorating, a pancake breakfast, bannock tasting, parade, face painting, and more from June 29 to July 1. Everyone is welcome to join the parade, and volunteers are needed to help make the celebration a success!
