I am relatively new to Waskesiu, having spent about 20 years in British Columbia as a social worker .   I am grateful to have returned home to Saskatchewan and am proud to now call Waskesiu my permanent residence.  I am passionate about living and working here, and I am committed to supporting the community through my involvement with the Chamber of Commerce Board. My goal is to contribute to the growth of the local business community while also supporting the overall development and prosperity of Waskesiu

Retired from my position as Vice President of Marketing and partner in a medium sized Building Specialty Product company. My wife and I spent many summers in and around Waskesiu. We have been cabin owners and seasonal residents for the past five years.

We love the Waskesiu townsite and our proximity to the amazing lands and water that are Prince Albert National Park. We enjoy the many great businesses and services located in a near the townsite.

  • Cody Hannah

    Director

    Elected in 2025

I joined the Waskesiu business community in 2021 when I became an owner-operator of Baker’s Bungalows. Since taking over Bakers, we’ve dedicated significant time to upgrading and improving the property. If you pass by, you’ll notice all new siding, windows, and soffit/fascia. What you won’t see are the brand new public laundromat, the extensive interior renovations, and the additional cabin we’ve added to the property.

Recently, I became the steward of the Waskesiu Marina Adventure Centre, acquired from longtime Marina owners Morris and Susan McLaughlin. You may remember that Morris was a member of the previous board. As a new member of the Chamber of Commerce Board, I’m committed to supporting initiatives that benefit our business community.

I have a long history of business leadership, having owned and operated many companies over the last 15 years. My involvement in Waskesiu extends beyond business - I support initiatives that aim to improve the longevity of the park. I’m an active member of the Aquatic and Invasive Species community group, working to keep Waskesiu free from AIS. I’ve also volunteered numerous hours consulting with the WRA on improvements to the ball diamond.

You can often find me supporting local businesses in the park - whether I’m eating at the various restaurants, taking in a movie, grabbing a few groceries, or picking up a new piece of art.
