Twin Pine Cinema

In 1958, when the two-screen theatre in Waskesiu opened, it was one of the first in North America to be able to show two motion pictures at the same time. Changing hands only four times over the next seven decades, the Astle family has been welcoming visitors since 2022. Improvements over the years have included digital projection and sound, and more recently upgraded seats in 2024. While bringing the latest motion pictures to Waskesiu remains a primary focus, keep an eye out for special events, which have included recent concerts by Jim Cuddy (lead singer of Blue Rodeo) and Stephen Page (formerly of Bare Naked Ladies). Feel free to visit our fully stocked concession anytime for some delicious popcorn, Dole Soft Serve, bubble tea, and other treats.
